What is the best weapon for psykers in Darktide? ›

The Purgatus Staff is, for all intents and purposes, a Soulblaze flamethrower for Psykers. It excels in burning down hordes, and it's perfect for holding choke points. Unlike the Zealot's flamethrowers, Purgatus staves require no ammunition and can be used for as long as the Psyker can manage their Peril gauge.

MK V Combat Axe with Brutal Momentum blessing for unlimited cleave. Its good at everything. High single target dmg and its push attack is a powerful cleave attack.

Ogryn Skullbreaker Melee Weapon

The Cleaver is a great melee weapon for the Ogryn in Darktide and fits this build perfectly. The weapon is great for horde clearing because it has good cleave damage and can also hit bigger targets easily.

The only weapon that competes with a pinning fire Autopistol is a pinning fire Bolter and Psyker can't use Bolter. Bolter wouldn't synergize as well with head pop chance on hit as well as the Autopistol anyway.

The only weapons we see Psykers really use are Force weapons, staves or their powers, though that doesn't mean Psykers can't use their powers to enhance or alter how a gun works i'm sure they can and would be down to see that.

The dueling sword is a great weapon for the psyker who wants to have little more close-combat abilities for when things get hectic. It's fast, precise, and deadly when used right. Aiming for heads or other weakpoints, you'll find it incredibly easy to dispatch enemies that get a little too close for comfort.

The Illisi Mark 5 is the best for Psyker. It kills everything and the special attack doesn't stun yourself like the other swords do. Depends on the build. Illisi or Deimos.
